Wanted ~ Luxury Estate Car

  1. I need to replace the private ambulance, AKA E240 Merc with tinted windows.
200K miles it's as strong as an ox, but the rust is starting to show and a bit shabby.
No real budget constraint, but if too expensive I'll get nagged to sell the R32.

As big as the E240 a plus plus
    Leather a plus
    4x4 a plus
    Black or Silver a Plus
    German or Japanese a Plus
    NEVER French...sorry.

I really like the Audi RS6....any comments or good deals going?
I love a good deal me.

  7. Love my 520d - mines done 140k great workhorse and surprisingly economical cars with all the luxuries (nor selling just recommending ) [emoji846]

  8. Jag X type estate 2.5 v6 4x4 82k on the clock in silver

  9. 1 bag of wotsits......unopened

  10. It's very clean. And has the panoramic sunroof option.

(And no, the bike is going to a friend for 3 years..... he's going to look after it for me. I'll pay everything (apart from fuel) if he garages it and runs it in the dry occasionally..... but finding someone to do that hasn't been easy!!)

  11. Ah Ehm

It isn't Mick Carter who's looking after it is it?

I can let you in for a day on this one occasion, I'll see the drawbridge is lowered :Finger:

  12. I love it, but I visit clients in my car. We have several chains of old people's homes and they would not be impressed!

  13. Assuming you were looking for private poor the price is right, but a 3 series is to small.

  14. Sorry, no Ford's.:Muted::Watching::Hilarious:

  15. Not quite in the same league as the RS6 but I recently had a 3 litre tdi Audi A4 Allroad as a courtesy car and was amazed at how good it was, very tempted to buy one when the time comes to change. The A4 version maybe a little small compared to your Merc but the A6 Allroad might be worth a look.

  16. Fair point. Could also be a good way of parking free of charge at hospitals, just park near the mortuary!

(Same can also work with a large, dark coloured estate car!! ;))

  17. You will be lucky to get a RS6 under 10k that doesn't need another 10 spent on it...and 25mpg

Mate just destroyed his 335D motor at 130k, cam chain, so whatever make sure its been done on time as seems one of the few weak points on the beemers. Go 530D touring: M5 torque and luxury

  18. Thanks Paul, yes FSH including CAM belt changed at the right time or recent..
A6 or R6 size may be a BMW.
Just sold a n Msport 3 series touring, so I know they are small compared to the E240.
