I’ve decided to sell my 2003 Ducati Multistrada DS 1000

The bike comes with 2 Ducati keys and the all important RED main code key and card, service book, owner’s manual, wallet and is HPI clear.

It recently had the major service including the belts, plugs, oil & filter etc done by Moto V in Colchester (Ducati independent specialists) on the 20th September 2016, (mileage then was 10,024, current mileage is 10,745) and during my ownership it has also had the rear brake pads replaced and the reservoir breather valve/fluid recovery reservoir assembly replaced with new parts.

It is mot’d until the 17th August 2017. I also have all the old mot’s and a partial service history and extra receipts. It had the clutch replaced in 2014. The valves and shims were done by Baines Racing in Silverstone at 6,800 miles.

The current mileage is 10,745 and may rise slightly. When these first came out, Ducati had a problem with the clocks failing as they did on this one. There was a new clock changed under warranty by Ducati Manchester at 4935 miles on the 15/07/06 and this change is recorded in the service book by Ducati Manchester and by receipt, there have been no problems with this since.

This bike has some extras. It will come with full Ducati luggage (2 panniers and 1 top box) with 2 sets of keys, DP riders gel seat, DP colour coded hand guards, DP extended front mudguard, Ducati oem centre stand, GI Pro gear indicator, Heated Grips, Red hugger, Red belly pan

Open red anodized clutch cover (original cover included in the sale) red reservoir caps, red piazza style adjustable brake and clutch levers, red bar ends, Zero gravity dark smoke double bubble screen, Tinted headlight cover, Extended mirror adapters for better vision, 12v power supply in the offside glove box to power your satnav/phone etc , Dash ball mount for your sat nav, Ducati rear wheel hub covers and the sidestand adaption to make it longer and safer

It also comes with a new AFAM 14 tooth front sprocket that makes the bike easier to ride around town (included but I simply haven’t had the time to put it on), a few different size number plates and a new Ducati indoor dust cover. (The exhausts are standard it’s just that a previous owner at some time put termi stickers on).

The tyres are Pirelli’s and have loads of life left as do the chain and sprockets.

Please remember this is a 13 year old bike so will have some marks and wear consument with age but is a good honest straight bike in great condition

£2,100 is the price. If you pick it up with a van then someone will be here to help you load it and if you are riding it home, let me know and I will fill it up with petrol. Cash is the preferred payment of choice with the usual if it’s not in my hand then there is no test ride.

The Arai Ducati Tour X Helmet in XL size, with a light tint visor, side pods (should you remove the peak), box, instructions and bag, can be had by negotiation to the bike buyer if you are interested
