Hi all, I have some noisy gears on my '92 750SS and I'd like to replace the gearbox internals to make it nice and quiet. It shifts nicely, it's just noisy. My question: What other Ducati gearbox internals will fit without modification? I'm assuming the 750 monster will be the same, what about the 600SS / monster? If I fit a 900SS / monster gearbox will it fit, making it 6 speed? Any other models fit? And, does anybody have suitable gearbox internals for sale? There are quite a few on flea bay once I know what I'm looking for! Thanks.
hi the 900 gearboxes will not fit If you want a 6 speed you would need to find a box from the jap spec 400 junior Any small case 5 speed will fit You can fit any 900 motor complete Steve B
Beat me to it......I was going to say, for starters just look at where the clutch slave is and compare... AL.
Thanks guys, looks like I need a 600 / 750 box then. It's a fairly original white frame 750, I don't want to make it a 900, rather keep it original if I can.
