Hi, if I have posted this in the wrong place etc please move or remove, OK I'm going to try an experiment, i have bought a spare catalytic converter box for the bike my plan is to cut it in half right the way along the seam then remove the cat material, then weld it back together and see what it sounds like, I would like your thoughts on this, I currently have a 2015 dvt, with the factory termignoni slip on wich is far to quiet! I can't find out wich decat pipe will fit with the termignoni? Can anyone shed some light on this? That's if the cat mod is no good thank you Graham, Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
Good plan to release more of the power. But potenially would still need mapping to cover engine issues.
From what I can find out the likes of arrow and termignoni etc sell decat systems and say they do not need a map hmmmm? Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
It will be loud. I took my end van off when trying to sort my flapper issue, started bike and it didn't sound any louder without it. ALl the baffling is in the cat
Here is my problem, I don't want it offensively loud, just that it's far too quiet how it is, just wondering what is my best option to achieve more noise lol any suggestions? Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
I'm considering arrows options, but I need it to work with panniers, I don't know if it's the indy or works that is best for me? This is an absolute minefield if I'm honest Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
Couple of the guys had arrow and mivv cans at weekend. No baffles. Loud! Not too bad with baffles tho. Which is probably the best compromise
Thank you for the help what do you think then the arrow works or the arrow indy? Is there much of a difference? Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
There's stuff ont tinterweb about cutting the bugger in half. Mines got a Mivv on is fookin awesome, thunder, flames the lot
Haha I want that! Also I really need to have e a look at that do you have a link or can you point me in the right direction? Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
Took mine to Oulton park, it's a 2016 dvt with termi slip on, I thought the same until it was tested at 102db at the prerequisite 5500rpm. On the ,imit for the track!
I have an arrow decat pipe & arrow works can , run it now without baffle , spits flames & sounds bloody lovely ( no negative comments from fellow bikers on sound , only my one neighbour ! ) Panniers fit fine too
There is a YouTube of a guy who did that and welded pipes in side them installed it all back on as a stealth setup. I think any mid pipe /cat delete should take most silencers if they fit on the stock pipe. Supposedly jetting will be fine /able to compensate adequately below 6k rpm. Get an add on tuner for above that.
Anyone have the arrow indy decat and slip on? What's it like and does that fit with panniers? Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
Emm he was talking about the arrow WORKS decat and I was asking about the arrow Indy decat :Banghead: Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
'He' I presume you mean me ? FRom your post it looks like you are asking for advice on both Indy & works The decat pipe Is the same , it's the silencers that differ , the Indy is the less expensive of the two, also shorter, so no doubt even louder than the works can, but obviously you've the option of running it with the baffle.
please let us know how the mod go i feel the stock sound is too soft, i'm keen to mod it as well if possible
