Last weekend I had some spare time so I replaced the belts on my 848. I also measured the valve clearances. These are the values for the vertical in mm Opening rocker arm - intake 0.14 & 0.16 Opening rocker arm - exhaust 0.15 & 0.16 Closing rocker arm - intake 0.10 & 0.15 Closing rocker arm - exhaust 0.09 & 0.10 and the horizontal Opening rocker arm - intake 0.13 & 0.19 Opening rocker arm - exhaust 0.15 & 0.15 Closing rocker arm - intake 0.09 & 0.08 Closing rocker arm - exhaust 0.11 & 0.11 The specs on the manual are 0.05 - 0.10 for closers and 0.13 -0.18 for openers but up to 0.25 are acceptable. So what do you think, should I reshim them or leave them as they are until next service? For the belt tensioning I used the gates app on an iPhone and I highly recommend it.
