Hey there I want to buy ducati 848's single side arm and marchesini brembo wheels. My questions are : 1.How to check the authentically of the 848 marchesini brembo wheels? Any special brembo engraving? 2. Is the rear disc brake only replaceable by authentic ducati part? because the seller already modified with the other model. 3.How to check the authentically of the ducati rear disc brake? 4.How do we know if the arm is authentic or not? 5. Is ducati 848 use marchesini by brembo or marchesini forged wheels?? thx
brembo own marchesini....... a pictures or pictures will say a thousand words. there are aftermarket rear discs out there..... there are aftermarket swingarms out there..... i believe the 1098 one is the same its just the hub that is different. I suspect an aftermarket arm would be more expensive. and finally............you use a rear brake?
You don't realise how much you use a rear brake until you ain't got one. Try riding an Aprilia RSV, and you'll see how much more you use a rear brake than you thought you did...

Looks pretty authentic to me, the brake disc is just an aftermarket item and it's quite common to see such items in place, however you can use this to barter the price downwards as the part is non-standard.
yep ditto..... what are you paying for the heavy std wheel?.......only i bet you could find a lighter one from a hyper s for similar money.
They sell in a package of single side arm with the marchesini brembo Anyway its hard to look for hyper s single side arm in indonesia....
ok i only meant the wheel.......what are you using it for? Only you could use a 1098 complete set......if you were building something thing one off.... i bet the postal system sucks.........i know ours does here!:biggrin:
then why pish about with the mickey mouse version.....use a 1098/1198 later one with the bigger hub rather than the 848 thats got old 1990s stuff in it........they both mount the same at the front!
obviously the wheels are a different fit also the streetfighter swing arm mounts the same............and is a bit longer than the others, although drastically shorter than a yamaha one......
