  1. Hey

When fitting the new drum, do i need to replace the bolts as the manual says or can i just clean out the vast amount of red threadlock with a heat gun and a wire brush?

    Cheers

  2. I've never replaced them, just cleaned things up and put some fresh threadlock on, never any issues :)

  3. what about the old threadlock in the holes? Just blast with compressed air?

  4. As @Tobytyke says, I've just reused my bolts.

I don't worry greatly about the old threadlock, but do clean it off the bolt and apply a small amount of fresh.

  6. Hey

The washer/spacer that goes on the clutch/spider spring. Does the raised high middle face in wards so sits "in" the spider spring or outwards, facing me?

Also, the smaller nut has a raised middle, does this face in or out?

It's a Ducabike FA6M01D. The instructions don't state what way found they do.

    Thanks

  8. Difficult to say without seeing photos of the parts, are we talking about a concave washer or a stepped one, similarly is the nut stepped or flat?

The concave washers tension the joint little end out, the spider spring must be sat in a step ( could be either washer or nut ) so that it is slightly "loose" it shouldn't be clamped tight by the joint

  9. Think I've got to the bottom of it via carbon conquest asking Ducabike for me.

Unfortunately though the belleville washer that sits on the beginning of the spline after the spacer and before the main clutch ramp unit won't fit on the spline. Fraction of a mm to small.

Carbon conquest speaking to Ducabike for me tomorrow. Must say, so far they have been excellent.
