Which Supercorsa Is This?

Discussion in 'Tyres' started by T0m, Apr 29, 2017.

  1. Hello all,

After picking up a screw in the rear tyre, I ordered a replacement Supercorsa SP and had it fitted by a local shop.
Now I'm slightly confused as although the tread pattern looks to match the front SP, I'm not seeing the 'SP' appearing on the sidewall. Does anyone know if the current Supercorsa SP has dropped the 'SP' or if the lack of 'SP' means I've got something else? (Sorry for the excessive use of 'SP' in this post)!

I've attached a few photos, not sure if these will add any value though.

    Many thanks,

    Tom[IMG][IMG]

  2. Don't think they put sp on them..

  3. Thanks for quick response.

Now you've got me thinking...I'll have to check the front tyre tomorrow and provide a photo (quite possible I've had a premature senior moment and imagined the SP detail)!

  4. Look slike an SP. If it were the race type, SC, it will be tagged as SC1, SC2 or SC0

  5. I did think they had SP on them, but as long as they look the same, they probably are :)

  6. Sweet, thanks for putting my mind at rest!

  8. Thank you for checking, I appreciate it.

My biggest concern was that it was an SC as I've read that they're not great for road use due to the compound taking a while to warm up (and I use the bike exclusively on the road).
Is it possible this is an old SP and they previously didn't tag them as SP?

  9. It wil have a date code on the tyre.

  10. It could be, I doubt it's an sc as above they're usually marked as such

    Check the date code

  11. Shall do!

Thank you AdviKaz and bradders for your help, have a great evening
