Discussion in 'Wanted' started by HYPERDUKE, Apr 24, 2017.

  1. Hi

New to forum so go easy on me!
Dropped my Hyper1100 in wales this weekend on some gravel in the road!
Cut a story short im struggling to find.....

    Red RH side panel
Complete RH hand guard (indicator, mirror and mount ect)
    Brake pedal

Ive seen plenty of aftermarket parts but would like to keep bike original
Any help would be greatly appreciated either parts for sale or advise on were to buy

    Cheers

  4. Almost managed to lose my balance on my 821SP at the weekend whilst tip toeing it in to parking position. Closest I've come to letting mine go down for a while, you have my sympathies!

  5. Sorry to hear about your off.

Repair it, plastic weld and decent body shop can sort out the majority of damage.

Then if you're still bothered, look for a decent used one at your leisure.

  6. More to the point - can we see the damage? the reason i ask is i did a repair on my sidepanel at my mates house. He had this welding kit which consisted of a heat gun and what i can only describe as paper clips....its probably more solid now than it was originally...

  8. Thankyou all for your response! yeah i know only parts i seem to find are abroad....

one last question does anyone know if the 796 hyper panels are exactly the same ie mounting point and colour codes?

    cheers

  9. Yep - definately - that can be repaired....id even go so far as to say that a paint sprayer will probably have the kit that im talking about....i shit you not when my mate repaired mine we were both expecting an epic failure but it went totally solid...then we both started laughing as we couldnt believe it....

  10. If youre really stuck send me the panel and a. ill get my mate to repair it and b. He's got his own insurance company and, covers a paintshop (they did some panels for me a few years back and they were brilliant).

  11. thanks very much! i will bare this in mind, i have a local body shop im going to try at the weekend. Going to continue my search for now but i fear im banging my head against a brick wall haha

  12. Easy panel for someone with the plastic welding kit. I had a ZX6 ninja top fairing repaired, the panel had a section completely broken out of it, and all the high points were ground off. The body shop made a perfect repair, not even noticeable to me, and I knew where the damage was.

  13. Handguard spares come up quite often, the brake lever again i would say would be a regular occurence....assuming you get the panel fixed the rest should be pretty easy....

  14. Thanks very much guys, will be up and out again in no time, keep you posted of my progress cheers

  15. yeah not having trouble with the other parts just may have to go down the repair route for the panel

  16. Im suprised people take on such tasks i didnt realise body shops did this kind of work! very tempted togo all carbon but much prefer the OEM look

  17. If you contact a ducati dealer most of the handguard is available as individual spares. Be careful with the handlebar clamps...they are different on the 796.

  18. Awesome thanks
