Very sad news, my thoughts are with the families who've lost loved ones or are now hoping their loved ones pull through. The people who carry out these attacks are just not Human, and I'm afraid that anything involving any harm to Children brings out the worst in me. I'd request the guy arrested should be released after being questioned, but with a sign around his neck and at a pre arranged time and place posted on every social media site several hours before hand. Terrorism wins again. Have all the vigils we want, saddest fact is every event is disrupted, the election is suspended, more checks and inconvenience to come, more cctv, more more more. Don't name the bombers. Don't publish who claims it. Close all twitter and Facebook accounts that are linked to ISIS and their ilk
There's a great feeling of solidarity in the city right now, out of all this shit there is positivity.
Hearing that an 8yr old girl, as well as the poor teenager named here, were victims with no doubt more youngsters to come is without doubt upsetting. Won't stop your house being robbed or getting mugged late at night though. Try wearing a Utd shirt in a month and walking into a City pub. Sorry to be cynical but it's true: this is a shitty selfish world that does what is seen to be right (collective grief and mealy-mouthed status updates on Facebook) rather than what is right. There is no positive in this whatsoever.
I dunno, I think it shows what we are. Whether it's the English and the Scots, Black an white, city vs utd and all that seems to cause us to be selfish and divided like siblings in a family in every day life, When real events like this happens, we do come together. Not often enough for my liking but we are a family within a nation as any one who has taken on this nation of countries finds out. I think we are all inherently good people, it's just sad it takes such events to remind us of that
We can't even agree on this, and I live here in Manchester! So yes you're right, you do speak the truth!
Is love the. Honestly. But will it stop gangs taking over areas? Racism? Them and us? We could only wish

Its a wicked world we live in at times, but its worth remembering that the overwhelming majority of people from all backgrounds are decent.
I agree 100% but, the number of good folk does not seem to be as big a majority as years gone by. Maybe I'm being naive, but there seem to be more greedy, nasty, vindictive, unhinged and truly evil bastards around than years ago ?
I don't think there are less good people, or per se more bad people, just more indifference. You only have to look at videos like the bikes being nicked in London: no one wants to step in. For a host of good and not so good reasons.
Apparently the bomber's father yesterday said "My son is innocent"........ Yeah right - that's why his head is stuck in the ceiling; his torso is outside and his legs are stuck to the floor, is it?
