Hi, does anyone have any experience with the Abba Superbike Stand and a 939 Hypermotard? If so, do you recommend them? Abba do not list the 939 as being compatible with their Hypermotard, so I'm not sure if it is compatible, or they have not updated their website. So any feedback would be much appreciated. Cheers
I've had my Abba Stand for nearly 10 years and have used it on pretty much every bike I've owned.... The Hypermotard 939 unfortunately needs a wider stand which Abba list on their site, my standard width stand works ok but I have to move the foot pegs out of the way while lifting it which is a pain. I spoke to Abba in December and they had wider stands coming into stock around June think, i will order one
Spoke to Abba today and they said that they've discontinued the wider stands. They said they're selling the regular superbike stand but throwing in a pair of reusable zip ties to hold foot pegs out of the way.
I actually have the wider stand left over from my Hypermotard 796 - it has the bits to also lift the front wheel. I've not yet stuck it on Gumtree or fleabay yet, and the thing might cost a whack to post. It's in pretty much mint condition and has all the ratchets and whatnot still bagged - if you're interested, let me know and we can work out a price/logistics... I'm in Chippenham Wilts btw.
Just to add - I *think* the stand also lifts the bike higher too, suppose to cater for bikes with longer suspension or whatnot - basically, it's the stand Abba told me to buy when I called them
Sorry for not posting back! Got a bit of an issue, a friend has nicked the stand off of me, hoping to get it back shortly though; though they're doing a full on strip down (some old beemer) so no idea on it's return. Sorry for the bad news
Really sorry, but my mate has purchased this off of me - it was either that or it was on loan for godknows how long; and I wouldn't want to keep you on the never never.
