Power Commander, Remap, Or Dp Ecu

  1. As per title. 2002 900 SS IE with Arrow cans and K and N filter, standard airbox. Whats best wothout any other mods planned just now? Im hearig various opinions, has anyone here done similar? Read some older posts on it.

  2. Do it yourself possible via ducatdiag (or get someone like ChrisW or Antonye to do it)
PC next cheapest, always risk of failure and needs a dyno set up really but if further meds its just a few dyno runs
Custom map best, same sort of cost as PC plus dyno set up, but more mods make it most expensive option

    :)

  3. Whether you use a pc or have it remapped the best results achieved buy putting your bike on a Dyno and having a custom map but it's also not the cheapest , last time i asked the guy i know it was £350 to have him remap the ECU on a Dyno and the best remap results are on bikes that are fly by wire .
The guy that I've dealt with has written his own program that is placed in the ECU and constantly checks and updates the fueling .
The difference between the so called "racing" ECU that Jen had fitted with her Termis and having it flashed was very noticeable Ben riding the bike .

  4. Has this bike got the webber marelli ecu, if it has it my hve a plug in eprom like my 996.

  5. These use the IAW15 ECU so not something I can help with"

  6. From the reading on forums I have done, the PC is a piggyback item and so can't change what the ECU does so apparently is limited in its influence. 300quid plus rolling road time. Remap is 250quid by Ducati Coventry but I would have to send ECU as I'm in Edinburgh and its probably gonna be a little out as its not being done on the bike. DP ECU is rare, so at this stage In not sure what to do as there doesn't seem to be anyone reputable near me that can reflash.

  7. Wow. For just a remap without dyno time £250?! CJS will do a full day on the dyno, all custom done to tailor to your bike rather than an off the shelf flash, for about £450.

Is there no one local who can help? Maybe @finm knows someone your way (or at least that side of the border) that can help?

Personally, I'd be included to go PC3 and download a map closest to your spec and about the same as a flash :upyeah:

  8. @Desmoquattro
You'll be struggling to get the bike remapped in Scotland unfortunately but there's 2 options .
    A) you can buy the flashtune kit , take the bike to a Dyno and have it done
    Or
    B) travel over the border and get it done , MCN seem to be using a guy who remaps in hinkley and he's had people travel from all over to use him even one guy and his partner road from somewhere like Sweden

  9. i have no idea if the do remapping but is just a phone call. ERS Racing at knockihill if not they could maybe point you in the right direction.

  10. Not gonna use Eddie at ERS for anything again. He waffles absolute pish at you complaining about his customers, knows his stuff but terrible customer service.

I'm still hunting a DP unit at the moment

  11. I cant recommend Chris at CJS enough. £450 well spent plus you get to spend the day at Louigi's listening to Rich moaning. My only regret is that its nr Bristol and not nearer my gaff. I enjoyed my day at Louigi Moto and CJS.

  12. What about a rapid bike evo ?

  13. Mark Brewin BSD in peterborough can flash and remap ie ecu's.

  14. My 2000 ie has h/l cans, k&N and open airbox. I have pc3 set up to correct map from dj and also livened up the pumper mode by approx 30%. It runs pretty rough on a neutral throttle in town but Ive never got round to tuning it properly.
