Michelin Pilot Power 2ct - On Tack?

Discussion in 'Tyres' started by Nelson, Apr 17, 2017.

  1. Anyone used them?
    Verdict?

    Cheers

  2. Yep, I really liked them on a 748, no moments in two days at Snet. and a faster friend loves them on a 675 as good a road tyre as I've ever used too!

  3. If you used them "on tack" wouldn't you get a puncture?

  8. They felt very good to start with in the dry and also wet. I'm purely a road rider but lots of mountain twisties and quite hard on the front. Consequently the shoulders usually wear out before the middle
and usually about the same time as the rear is finished. This was at approx 2000 miles on these and
they had 'gone off' a bit sometime before that with a vague feeling creeping in on the front.
I'm now on the PP3 and my first trip was to th EMM in the Picos. I left in the dry, managed to scrub them
in a bit before hitting the Mway in torrential rain and then arriving in a dry twistie canyon where I immediately proceeded to enjoy myself!
I don't think I'll be fitting the PP2's again. However the 3's have really impressed me so far and if they hold up well and give me at least the 20% extra life claimed then they could be my favourite.
    Hope this helps.
    :)
