Hi all newbie here with a quick question. I have just purchased slash cut Termis for my 2008 1098 the exhausts also comes with the race ECU. I know I will need a new air filter and I have always had K&N's so my first stop has been to go there. K&N give two choices: Choice 1 DU-1007 which is described as a replacement a replacement for your stock filter designed to provide low restriction and improve performance. Choice 2 DU-1007R This filter seems serious, it requires fuel management modifications and it says its for closed course completion use only. Which one should I get for my new set-up? They are both the same price so the costing isn't the issue, any and all advice will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
This was the response from K&N Good Morning Thank you for your email. Part number DU-1007 is for normal road bikes whereas DU-1007R is a race specific filter. If you do not race your bike please use part number DU-1007. Kind Regards
