Ebay Bike

Discussion in 'Ducati Bikes For Sale' started by David Hales, Mar 1, 2017.

  1. Depends why you are looking at that particular bike.
The 1000 engine is a lovely thing to use, if I was desperate for a bike with that engine I`d look at a couple of alternatives both of which you can get slightly older but much better condition and lower mileage versions of for less money that that. The 1000ssie or the monster s2r1000. Both of these are also fairly safe depreciation wise with the SSIE likely to go up in value.
If i was after a sport classic I would rather pay more for a better one but it is your opinion that counts most . Have you been to see it to get a feel for it and the vendor ?

  2. The seller thinks that his bike is rare and collectable. IMO and experience, think again, it is only rare and collectable in original condition, not when it "benefits from a few light custom modifications". I agree with dukesox, there are better bikes that represent better value out there. Andy

  3. cheers for the replies, should never have sold my monoposto, looking for a GT to modify but they are getting more expensive, bought mine for £8,200 on hear, sold it 6 months latter for £7200, now worth much more, tyical

  4. I think sensible mods are ok as long as the bike can be returned to standard , then the upgrades can be sold on.
Soooo it depends what you want the bike for using or investment ???? Investment you want low miles , to ride then higher miles and less expensive is ok.

  5. Very hard to find at the moment, no one is selling

  6. I'm not selling lol. Was offered 14k last year.

  7. lot's of ebay feedback though.

  8. Have you seen all three? Why haven't they been snapped up.
Most of the feedback is for dresses sold.

  9. Does seem too good to be true but normally scammers dont have 12 month + ebay accounts do they?

  10. Looks well dodgy.

  11. Maybe it's a hacked account?

  12. SCAM. Ask him some stupid questions like are the forks the upgraded nitrogen charged versions and see the answer. Or tell him you need to see it before buying.

  13. Guy's a total scammer. Probably seen that email address 10 or 12 times. Not posted for a while so thought he'd been banned but clearly not. Andy

  14. That bike looks a mess, and the paint job is a joke.
