1200 R Horsepower.

Discussion in 'Monster' started by s4rmark, Jun 25, 2017.

  1. Just noticed on ducati uk that the 2017 1200r has 152 hp and 92 ft lbs of torque . The 2016 has 160hp and 95 ft lbs . Why is that ?

  2. Probably an instruction from the "owners" in relation to power and emissions to tell the truth! There'll be loads of accountant crawling all over the business (due diligence) in relation to forthcoming sale :)

  3. More silencing to conform to ever increasing noise regulations?

  4. The 2016 model was Euro 4 compliant as is obviously the 2017 model so not changed. Ducati have changed their method of measuring BHP ( Brochure Horse Power ) as of a few months ago showing less overall power but is actually the same as before . This will affect all models going forward . All manufactures are a bit economical with the real power of their bike but now just a little less economical.

  5. Yes, Ducati BHP ( Brochure Horse Power ) LOL;), was lightly too optimist and needed a toned-down.
Most if not all models were affected starting in 2017. Found this in my archives:
