1200 DVT Price....holy Crap !!

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Wayne58, Jun 21, 2017.

  1. Still on my 2010, had the usual recalls, still on same heads and rad, decat,QD exhaust, CJS remap, Ohlins ecu, and its bloody fabulous!

Same as Kirky, hibanates in the winter and gets pampered the rest of the time, but compared to the dealers demo DVT its much more fun, a complete hoot!! and makes me smile mile after mile, can't argue the DVT is a better looking bike but when I'm riding I'm not drooling and taking pictures of my pride and joy

I still can't think of a better bike out there, for me anyway..

  2. IMG_4111.JPG 2011 48k ish used through winter . The reason I didn't change was the main dealers didn't want high mileage nore did BMW dealer. So chucked a termi,m4 calipers, cjs tune ( just amazing ) and ohlins ttx36 plus front cartridges don't see the point in setting fire to another 17k when this one puts such a smile on my face. I don't think it's any less reliable that my other bikes just the finish of engine casings is shite

  3. Fair dos: I'm doing much less mileage than I used to (and have three Ducatis anyway) so I'd have changed by now at that mileage. Although my ST4s at 55k miles, is running like new. Personal perception/preference plays a big part here - for instance, I haven't yet ridden a Skyhook bike that gives me the front-end feel of the older Ohlins set up - it's great for a 'magic carpet' touring ride, but when it comes down to trust in what's happening at the interface between tyre and road, I'm less convinced.

  4. The skyhook is a match for the Ohlins once its set up, get the passive leg preload right, and dabble with the active leg through the dash menus and its a match for most set ups I've ever ridden, and I have owned an Ohlins clad Multi previously. :upyeah:

  5. I looked at getting a cjs tune when I fitted the termi but did not follow through as it got mixed reviews. Sounds like you are pleased with yours what difference did it make? Cheers

  6. I would love to get my skyhook set up, always thought it was a bit harsh. Can anyone recommend anyone in the south of England who I can go to? Cheers

  7. Pm me when you selling, my son looking to buy.
I bought new DVT touring 0 miles abt 5 weeks ago, but on 65 plate £11999 very happy, base suspension more than adequate. This is my 5 th multi and the DVT motor is the best to date very smooth

  8. I've PM'd you....Cheers
