Made a couple of small changes to my Icon, Italia independent leather seat £240 ouch!, drag bars £15 worryingly cheap!, Ducati tank stickers £3.50 , might go for gold wheels next, would that be over the top?
I have a thing for gold wheels on nice looking red cars and bikes, namely Ferrari's and Ducati's... However I have seem some combinations that to my eye just don't look right. IMO, it is a difficult thing to get right and what some people like, others loath! It all comes down to your personal taste and so long as your happy and like it, who cares what anyone else thinks?? A quick Google throws up some images to give you an idea of what I may look like... I know the second one isn't Red, but still gives an idea of how gold wheels can look on a Scrambler Icon... When it comes to gold wheels, a subtle difference in the shade of gold makes the world of difference to how they look in different levels of daylight. Something that's not easy to get right but can look stunning if you get it right. HTH
Thanks for the photo, I'll probably give it a go, I believe Foliatec do a spray on vinyl gold for car wheels that can be peeled off , I'm making all of my mods reversible so I may try that, (although having the wheels sprayed back to black wouldn't be too much of a bother if I didn't like the gold), PS the Italia seat is more comfortable than the standard Icon seat if anyone is finding theirs uncomfortable.
