My boy left his car in a hotel car park in Norwich and some shady as Shit outfit called National parking enforcement have sent a PCN for 60 quid fine, no ticket on car. What's the general consensus, pay these rogue trader fucks, go down the appeal/popla route or ignore everything?
Have a read of this. http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/National_Parking_Enforcement.html Seems the advise is to ignore. In the last 2 years they have taken 0 people to court as they are just sussy scammer type tickets.
That is what i been generally reading on line, sadly my son did contact them via email which effectively admitted liability, but since then, I told him no more contact and we will ignore, cheers
Just now spoke with my lad, and after your link, we agreed a big fat dose of fuck em is the best course!! Thx all.
I've had 2, both in McDonald's car parks, Leeds and London, company called Met parking, had some advice from a barrister mate who advised as long as I'd not entered into a contract, I.e. Paid for parking, to just ignore em, they sent 7 letters each time, escalating the figure and also the threats of bayliffs etc. They can't charge a car only an owner, I never responded and they went away. They are reliant on 60% of people paying the initial £60. Be brave and ignore em!
Ah, but did my son not admit liability to a degree by contacting them asking for a pcn number as it was smudged on the notice to keeper they sent ?
I don't even mind paying the friggin 60 notes, it's the principle that bothers me, this company is a hubby and wife only, and it fecking grates me to line his wallet for petrol in his Bentley!!!
They may have enough to pursue your son but if he hasn't admitted parking it, he's only requested info as registered keeper up to now, it's not a legal requirement to tell them who parked it, it is if it's a police or local council fine. They'd have to take him to small claims court if he doesn't say anything and then they'd need proof that he parked it there. I say F#ck em.

Sadly, I believe the protection of freedom act 2012 may and can demand who the driver was?? http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2012/9/schedule/4/enacted
They will take you to court now since the court case Bevis versus whoever it was I was given a court summons I never agreed to having an account whenever I called them up and told them I owed them nothing It came down to the entrance sign and on probability of whether I could have seen it or not, that's what they were going to bring up in court The entrance sign was big enough I asked them to provide picture evidence of it being there as I hadn't seen it and the signs are big enough and it's my responsibility to see it We negotiated a price which turned out to be £150 in the end which was much less than the cost is was rising to
If you read the link i gave it says they are not part of the BPA which means DVLA will not give them your details. If you respond to the ticket with any personal details you basically tell them who and where you are. Hence why they have not taken a single person to court in 3 years to now. That website is updated every 3 months for court stats so it says. If it were me i would do nothing and see what happens. If they don't go the hassle of trying to find out who you are by other means (which i doubt) then they can't enforce squat even if it's a legal ticket which in itself is debatable.
