My eyesight.....

  1. See the attached pic and the two arrowed brackets.....?

Does anyone think the same as I do, that the left bracket is cranked slightly more than the right one?

Since I made the original brackets, I have always had a bit of trouble aligning the right side can to the bike and I think it might be I didn't get the two bends exactly the same.

    Thanks, AL.

  2. its only by about 3mm

  3. Possibly, but as the pictures not square on from behind it's hard to be sure

  4. Thanks both......

I thought I noticed the left bracket was slightly more cranked the other day when I was refitting the cans (the left one is where it should be) and if I gave the right one a bit more bend it might just equalise them by rolling the can inwards and slightly down because of the rotating effect.

Too flaming cold and wet to go outside to take another pic......

  5. My cans aren't perfectly aligned either, for reasons I've not looked into.

  6. Mine weren't quite right when I first fitted the purpose made hangers (which were identical originally, but I had to make an adjustment) but only noticeable to me......

....haveing now changed the ally cans for carbon ones, for some reason it is more noticeable, even though all the fixing points are the same.......I reckon an additional adjustment is required............a clump with a sledgehammer on the offending bracket in a large vice, basically........it's 4mm stainless, so it doesn't bend that easily....

  7. Be warned this could end in a meltdown ...... A rage to end all rages .... I spent roughly two hours of loosening tightening swearing in order to get Emm's 748 cans spot on ....... Only to find it was the fackin number plate that was not on straight ......... !!!!!!!
