currently riding a 2014 18500 mile Gran Turismo> popped in to SMC sheffield primarily to buy some muck off.was gob smacked by how beautiful the DVT 1200s looked. started asking the usual questions how much what spec etc.... my old shonker comes with heated grips centre stand fog lamps crash bars top box and rail side boxes that are massive as standard for the european tour Jobbie with the mrs...Question is people the touring pack looks devoid of most of a lot of what i have ??? no top box ?? fog lamps ?? crash bars ..feeling gutted that i can't upgrade ?? thoughts and comments are welcome plz... mates are vacating to KTM... don't want to...
I think Ducati are offering £1000 of accessories with new bikes. That should cover the extras you desire.
Sounds like you require Touring and Enduro pack. Top box can be bought as an accessory but may be more cost effective with the Urban pack. Upgrade is always possible, it's just a matter of money
Otherwise just do what I did, pick the bits you want and ignore the packs? You can buy many of the items individually (I got heated grips, spotlights and comfort seat, already had the top box)
I've got the urban pack panniers and top box. Fitted top box myself. If you need info just post if you can stretch to touring screen heated grips, & centre stand all worth it too.
You missed out Bar risers, Taller screen, Comfort seat, auxiliary power sockets, mudguard extenders and Angel GT boots. I think out of all the Mutleys the S GT has to be the best value. I've thought about swapping mine but just don't see the point, it has everything I want / need. It pissed me off abit that even though the DVT isn't a cheap bike they pry more money out of you by mixing up the specs so you need to pay over the odds for the extra kit, whey didn't they just bring out a proper DVT tourer that comes fully kitted up?
I got the touring pack almost thrown in. 1200s full touring pack= Heated grips, Centre stand, Rear panniers colour coded, Rear topbox colour coded, Navihalter sat nav bracket, Full termigoni race exhaust system with remap. £17500. The book price is £16650 or therabouts for bike. So thought i hadn't done bad. Thats forgeting what i,ll get offered for it in 2 years.
