Ok if i can sell my streetfighter i want to build a cafe race style Ducati, i will prob use a GT1000 or sport classic tank, and base it on the sport classic style, what would be a good base to start from, i will modify the frame but been looking at the Multistrada 1000, you can get a decent low millage one for a good price, i will only use part of the frame, engine all electics, hopefully fit a S2R arm, change the wheels etc, is this a good donner bike, or what else is there with a single sided arm thats not too expensive?
They're a great donor , but not the right shaped frame for a cafe racer really. You need nice flat lines for the tank/ seat for traditional look surely ? Here's mine that I'm building with 1098 tank , and basic rear end - it won't be a cafe racer , but will be great fun - the 1000ds engine is a peach
