Didn't that yanky 'design' fella donone with a new Desmo, made it all flat tracker?! Stick it in a Moto 2 chassis and have genuine (or mega close) MGP bike
would have loved to have helped him i have most parts all hanging on my wall lol Im a serial hoarder lol even complete exhausts Truthfully i should just sell it all But i have a problem i think lol
That is toast and he knows it if you read his comments on Facebook. From the pictures, it's hard to imagine that anything other than perhaps the gearbox is salvageable. Can only assume that there will have been some damage to the engine internals or timing gear!! I'd have thought the owner would be better of trying to buy a bike with a damaged engine and either buy it, or sell his motor/box if there is no damage. Shame to see.
In the good old days track damage like that was sorted easy, find a very quiet road and throw bike out the back of van, find some fresh road kill to wrap around bike and hey presto an insurance claim. Or so folklore would have us believe.
All pre social media where people can't resist the urge to talk about themselves 24/7. I'm pretty sure any insurance company these days will spend 2 mins looking at a claimants Facebook history before paying out, maybe a bit longer on a £50k bike.
i have a full set of fairings and "some other stuff" http://www.ducati.org/forums/parts/62496-desmosedici-carbon-body-parts.html email: [email protected]
Does any one know how to get hold of the chap whose in need of the parts? I've tried joining the forum but no one seems to monitor it. I've a few bits he might want, having just sold my D16. >sobs< >eats<

I have seen these bikes practically written off on the cost of footrest brackets and fairing parts from a mild off engine; put it in a bike with a bigger front wheel? fireblade? ZX10,? Notice the tank protector worked well joking of course, but my only concern is for the rider; hope he was in better shape than the bike was left in?..
