British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. I've been away for ages. I can't believe this thread is still running. Anyone mentioned Hitler yet? :)

  4. Just for equality (you may not have heard of that word duke)

The new black panthers that even the original black panthers don't like

    http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-new-black-panthers-20160714-snap-story.html

The article explains why leftist liberals will never be able to be independent and open minded to all sides, I'll give an example

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights calls their organization a hate group, and founders of the kkk call them impostors. They call themselves a “white nationalist organization,” dedicated to the establishment of an “independently governed white nation.”

because it is the kkk it would be called racists after a white only nation however, same paragraph with very little changed

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights calls their organization a hate group, and founders of the Black Panthers call them impostors. They call themselves a “black nationalist organization,” dedicated to the establishment of an “independently governed black nation.”

These would now be called freedom fighters by the left but yet, it was the second group, the panthers that said the above and very very recently

  14. Awww Thanks

The guardian article does raise a point. With a direct agreement, given the narcissists within the current eu top table genuinely wanting to hurt us for having the audacity to leave, then there is a high risk most of the deals will still allow some level of eu meddling if the deal is between just us and them

If we have a clean break however under the internationally accepted wto rules, then we have an independent adjudicator should the eu start playing games afterwards, which is likely

  15. which is likely? see thats what i am talking about. you knew this, but the dumb fucks went with Bojo and Co.

  17. There is always an element of risk fin, with everything in life and like most marriages, this one has failed. Be honest, do you have 100% faith in the SNP government that they would not get you independence one minute to give it all away to the eu the next?

Who we had is who we have, they are elected mp's but it is worth remembering that we had one leader who then had a hissy fit when they lost, you probably get them up there too :D but he left the government that followed with no "brexit would win so here is the leaving mandate" plan because he was afraid it would leak out and then increase the out vote. This government given it's only been around 9 months from start to now on brexit, are not doing too bad

For myself once the democratic vote said leave as I've mentioned before, the worry was that at some point , whoever or whatever party was in control, they would ignore the peoples vote and instead carry out a brexit based on just business's orders and not those who elect them and how they voted. There will always be concerns in major decisions, as in life there are no guarrantee's on anything but enough people in the U.K. could see beyond the negotiations.

Which ties in with with you saying we knew this, and we did and do. Under the current eu top table, they are seeking to hold as much influence still over the U.K. in some way or will try and punish us if we go wto but, this is the difference between the remainer and the brexiteer.

The remainer is saying look at what is happening, the brexiteer will see the eu's top table will not be there forever and so we look beyond the next 5 minutes to a time when the divorce anger has settled and we then are likely to have a far better relationship with the eu project whilst still remaining an independent country and still an effective world player

  18. putting in to context (compared to the rest) and assuming they maintain the levels of talent within the party, i have every faith in the party. ad dont forget noobs i am an exe unionist party supporter.
it's pointless asking somebody in my position on my position regarding the EU. the MATH tells me one government has about 90% control while the other has about 10%. i don't recognize yer anti EU arguments.
but what i can do is compare the brixiters rhetoric to better together's
the word hypocrisy was invented for this scenario.
