shit dude... I didn't pull it apart! im just saying it looked like 2way plug.... that 1 looks like hes making fun of me... how many are there for a 98 900 ss ffs!!!!??? AAARRRRGHHHHH...
Go onto ebay uk. Type in, ducati mosfet regulator rectifier. If i knew how to do you a link..... I would have
done that, there are dozens of different ones all claiming to be for an ss and going by the pics, most come without plugs...
Take a pic of the plugs on the one you have and should be fairly straight forward to walk you through what you need....
Earlier were very similar to this as standard ( although I don't remember the double red wire going into a single plug)
the red wire on mine has a pin connection like that one but the other connections look different. I've ordered one today with the six wires and the same mount so I guess I just see what turns up and act accordingly... As in get some help!
I was reading this older topic. Now i am wondering how to connect in the right way: can i put 2 of three yellow wires, from the reg/rec together, so there are 2 left? Or just 2 of the three wires connecting to the alternator?
If you have two yellow wires coming from your alternator (single phase) connect them to any of the three positions on the reg/rec. Although I have extended mine with different colour cable you can see just two wires going into the reg/rec where there are three positions. If you have a reg/rec with three yellow wires on, then just connect your two from the alternator to any of the three and leave the third, seal the end of the loose one though. Steve
I like these old resurrected threads - have you thought about going on a Scrambler around Europe, I can assure you it will get you there and back with no issues (top tip: keep your passport/wallet safe otherwise you might lose it) if you do lose it try the nearest police station - it will be there waiting for you Have a fab time (you will) looking forward to your trip thread being resurrected soon...
Get this bought https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143356963867 or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324138594910 don’t be put off by damage Buy the Triumph leads and modify to fit your bike. Part number T2500676
No Chizel, you must ask someone for advice, receive an email detailing the EXACT one to buy, then go and buy the wrong one, come around at a days notice before a European trip and get someone to try and make it work. Then when they tell you it may work for a short time and fail.... head off on your tour then moan about it on the forum when it all goes pete tong..... AGAIN...
