Termi's On An 899

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Andy800, Sep 7, 2017.

  1. Very close to pulling the trigger on a pair of Termi's for the 899:

How much difference will they make to performance?
Should I declare it to insurance?
If declared to insurance what increase should I expect?

    Cheers

  2. 1. Next to bugger all. Original cans are louder too.
    2. Yes
    3. Not a lot, if anything at all.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  3. :astonished: Not louder, didn't expect that

  4. Standard 899 with standard cans makes 107db measured at Brands, my mate paid for a track day and his bike never saw the track :(

Should have gone for a full system :)

  5. Blimey...I always thought the standard system was quieter than the Termi's. Not sure wether to go for it. 107dB  Can get a pair inc fitting for a pretty good price

  6. You have other friends apart from me?
Not happy, just letting you know...

  7. I had the full system on my 1199 then had it dyno'd 190hp at the rear wheel :)

  8. :noentry:

  9. The Termi's have a deeper sound and I have seen a few 1199s on track with the Termi's fitted so I am not sure what effect it has on the DB check,
I have gone down the route of just end cans before and it only makes a slight difference, nowadays I would always buy a full system,

  10. Better off with a pair of lighter wheels! With them you do feel the difference.:)
