Can anyone help with with a name /part number for the middle section of the front brake lever. The 'Tongue' is very slightly bent after dropping the bike on it's side and I need a replacement. The part I'm referring to is the middle part between the casting and the lever.
I don't know how to draw an arrow using software otherwise I would have done so. It's not the lever part Cookster, it's the part between the casting and the lever. The large black colored block with what looks like a tongue retained between the jaws of the alloy casting by the black colored cap head bolt.
The Perch sounds a bit fishy, but yes, that sounds right. My aftermarket lever is fine, but the 'Tongue' of the Perch is slightly bent!
I'm obviously cracking up faster than I thought. I was convinced that wasn't part of the replacement levers that I bought and that it was already in place when I fitted the new levers. I need to go and have further look methinks. Many thanks for all your help, much appreciated. All clear now I've looked at a photo http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Long-Brak...d=263170434429&_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042
I have a couple of those John. They were chinky shorties for 1198 i never fitted. However I robbed the screws from them also for something else. So I have those just hanging around moping. edit, ill just pop to garage to photo.......
@bootsam I wonder if they would fit? I'll remove the offending item tmw and take a photo. Would you like to exchange for a quantity of Acapulco Gold, or maybe Panama Red?
