Pulled the wheels off the 1098 a couple of days ago, dropped them at powder coaters to get redone as they have a few marks plus i,m fitting new tyres,i loosely cable tied the front calipers back against the rad, while the front wheel is out, Now i,m away offshore for a month, thought i,d nip in and do a couple of small jobs before i travel tomorrow, spotted fluid on the floor, bastard brake fluid from left caliper, strange that it was dry when it was on the bike, Whats the brembo,s like to rebuild?, quick look on e bay and its 70 quid for a seal kit.
Are the s calipers the same. struggling to find a rebuild kit on e bay. offshore for another 3 weeks but wanted to sort a rebuild kit ready for when I get home.
Are you sure that you haven’t just pulled the brake lever whilst the calliper was not on the wheel and you have just popped a piston out. Worth checking this first.
