Friend of mine from Mansfield is after an 1199 to p/x his absolutely mint R1 against. He's seen one in Peterborough and had a test ride on it but it broke down whilst he was out on it so that didn't fill him with confidence. Plus the dealers didnt seem to know what they were doing, which really put him off. Does anyone know of any 1199's out there that could be of interest? His budget is around the £11/12k mark including p/x'ing his bike. Answers on a postcard please
There’s one in riders of Bristol I saw a couple of days ago that looks alright. Can this man not work a computer?
This is nice, Pitty I cant say the same for there service http://www.jemspeedshop.co.uk/used/ducati/1199/panigale-s/batley/west-yorkshire/20008929#top-image
There bikes always look well turned out and tidy enough. I'm guessing you have had a bad experience with them @jack999s... Would you mind sharing your experience with others on here?
Had a short thread already a few months back about this, Basically I bought a bike of them unseen, just the usual photos and there so called very good genuine description of the bike, told the bike was in unmarked immaculate condition etc etc, bike turned up with small ding in top of fuel tank and rip in centre of seat 1" or 2" long that had a crappy repair, stood out like a sore thumb, I refused to sign for the bike till I had a signed receipt and photos taken of damage( damage clearly was there before it left dealership), it took me a month or more of promised return calls which I never got once, I phoned at least twice a week and just got flogged of with rubbish every time, getting near the 10th call I had had enough I started to get shitty with them and finally managed to get a couple hundred quid of them, terrible service imho, kind of thing you would expect buying private and I paid well above book for the bike, not long before I bought that bike I bought the streetfighter of drysdale in perth and the truly honest description was outstanding right down to photos of the chips that you would need a magnifying glass to see, they pointed out 4 to 5 things that were really imho not going to annoy anyone at all, that's the service I think we all would like from a dealer, live and learn but JEMSPEEDSHOP is far from the best to buy from. cheers jack Edit just to add the guy I dealt with from start to finish was some useless sod called Steve, Drole is not the word,
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/bikes/motorcycle-dealers/jem-speed-shop-batley-dpp-702808/reviews/true According to them I was the only one that wasn't happy with there service, Only 6 reviews but not to good lol
So they get 1 star or 5 stars but nothing in between - it's like Russian Roulette but not how I've played it
Exactly, A little honesty on the bikes that arnt in perfect nick would go a long way, Looks like they cant be trusted when buying unseen, I certainly wouldn't be going back but its not going to put me of buying over the phone that's for sure, Sometimes its not an option to view before purchase, There attitude stinks tbh
Mine is up for sale at Cubo Moto - I just found a great bike on Auto Trader: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201709089116396
