anyone know where I can find a guide to stripping and rebuilding a 1000 multistrada engine? Is there any other Ducati that uses a simmilar engine? sorry, I am New to Ducati! I want to strip and rebuild the engine so I can vapour blast the cases.
Ideally you want to find a workshop manual for your bike, or a Monster 1000 or a Supersport 1000 as they all share the same engine, but any Ducati manual from the last 20+ years will do just fine if you can't locate the correct one as the engines are all pretty much the same. The bottom end on your bike is also pretty the same as the 4V engined bikes pre-Panigale so any of those manuals will do too. Torque settings is the major thing you need to get your hands.
Thanks guys, useful. Where is the best place to buy a gasket set from? or for that matter parts in general, I will probably replace the valve guides while I have it all apart.
