Yep, you'll need to check there are toe down points in a rental an. If you have a front wheel chock that can make things easier
Easy. Moved bikes in Transporters many times. Sports bikes/nakeds will rattle around in a lo-top SWB VW with room to spare. Adventure bikes/Multistrada etc will need the screen and probably the mirrors removing to get them over the ramp but they'll go in too. Should be six tie-down points.
Hire vans always have tie-down points exposed but privately owned vans that the owner has boarded out himself may have them covered over.
I'd work out where to attach the straps to the bike if I was you before hand, it ain't easy if the bike has a fairing.
Hi ate, I all sorted , Have a wheel chock and R&G bar strap thingy and some straps, Sorted for Sat for picking it up, Will stick up a few photos Cant wait Cant get the transporter now as its out on long term lease, Got a merc instead
I hired a merc sprinter mwb the other week. A brilliant van and great on juice. Leeds to worthing and back for about £75 diesel. Very smooth and torquey.
Depend which Merc it is. Sprinters are pretty cavernous, Vitos are pokey. Low load height though which is handy. Still, should be fine for a sports bike.
