The convex one, if you have it, will have a centre punch/dot on it. I usually go two steels at the back, then alternate steel/friction. Shuffle...

Ah -gotcha. I'm sure I saw an old post/pic somewhere, where the seat unit had been removed and the tank turned around then strapped to the rear...
Air box off? With mine you can carefully either prop the tank up at the rear, or turn at a slight angle to get at the vertical plug/run the bike.
I had a similar issue on my old 848. Bike should start on one cylinder... Unless it's the faulty one ;) I did the same swapy roundy test to...
I get a proper buzz from this sort of modding....So very grumpy that it has or appears to have failed....:frown: Keep us posted with yr findings fig.

Watched on iplay. Enjoyed it... Agree with many others, lost interest in TG few years back.
They'll slip into 916 and Co yokes no probs, of course they'll need calipers and a spindle.
The forks defo go in 748/916. :upyeah:
