how do you mean narrower........as in the 1098 swing arm fits to an air cooled ducati engine as every other engine pretty much pre fanny gale..
i was / am far better looking......
the 998 RS genuine wheels have a large hub i think this is slightly smaller than the 1098 hub maybe a similar thin g could be made for the 10-98...

what about getting a reducer to fit the outside of the wheel but the centre of the spindle......i know they do make them for the RS size wheels to...
id get the measurements from your swing arm and compare to a 1098 swing arm.........i bet they aint that far away......
