Of course if the clutch is dragging and your holding the bike still on the brakes it will get extremely hot, do it for long enough it'll certainly...

FWIW I don't think your geometry is too far away from factory, on mine you can just see the 4th ring on the fork top from the outside/ lowest...
There isn't a standard for "H" there's too many variables, what they're saying is before ANY adjustments are made take a measurement for your own...
