Yes DP map would be best option although bike should run ok with standard 749 map.

I chain them to bike in carrier bags and jacket through sleeve as well sometimes in a bin bag. Seen too many queques at helmet parks.

Mine starts with 11.8v-12.2v showing with ign on. (13.8v running). I have extra earth lead mod.
If pump sounds quieter then i would look in that direction, filter, hoses etc.
