the 1299 is even worse as you can't collapse the mirrors.. its the only part of the bike design ( other that the QS) that i don't rate very well.

i guess as long as its running, get the bike up to temp and take it for a ride to try and clear any surface build up, have you added a little fuel...
that looks long winded.. 5 bolts push forward, job done... similar process when fitting /removing a front exhaust manifold.
yep i have heard its a bit tight, if you have the main fairing off, then release the cooling module from its mounts and it should swing forward...
