My worry would be that if the changes were a bit clunky was it damaging the gearbox long term .
A funny little side note is when i had organised for a few of us to go to the TT for two weeks, My mate was so worried what his missus would say...

Same here, The gearbox and clutch action is so smooth, who needs a q.s, go for the R ,more power, better suspension, steering damper, light weight...
Just take your time, and even photos and i am sure you will be fine .
