copy how it was done on the standard ducatis...No 8 is a rubber grommet you could also put a line of decorative holes like the standard part...
you need a rubber grommet to dampen the vibrations.... i copied the previous ducatis 998 999 etc
A 2003 999R cylinder head is the same as a previous 998....

So in simple terms it needs fuel air and a spark all at the right time. you say its sparking plus you haven't interfered with the ign system bar...
