No, it's the failure of the gear position indicator that appears to be the issue.

Rear shock is Sachs. Forks are the trendy and hopefully quality Showa Big Piston forks as used on Honda 600, Blade and ZX10 R.
Is it fit for purpose? If not Ducati should sort it out as a sale of goods act issue I would imagine.
