Sorry, my fault for rounding up terminal 87 to positive terminal on coil was 613 to be precise negative to negative was like 605 on the front...
Ok so metered from connection 87 (brown wire) to positive terminals of the coils and its reading at 600ohms and that’s set at 2000’s setting...
Tried a few more bits today before the rain started did a continuity test on the coils and it seems like a good connection between the positive...
How would I go about doing that?
Ive measured the resistance on both pick ups and they comeback as 95ohms which the haynes manual says is right.
Battery is new, the other cables are definitely not new
The cable covers are frayed quite bad but the wires themselves look ok [ATTACH]
Yes the tone drops when the front coil is connected, but no change in tone if I remove/refit the positive terminal on the rear barrel
The note of the fuel pump doesn’t change when I remove the positive terminal to the rear barrel if that has any further significance?
