  4. I was a year later, TS50 Suzuki, Glass Works for first job as the money was good, 250LC at 17, Z1000 at 17.5, turbocharged it at 18 using the Glass Works fabricating shop for the headers and pipework. Heady days o_O

  5. A Z1000 at under 18! That must've got you God like status among your pals.... How did you insure it??

    I was a year later. And a Z250.

  6. I was sitting in an apartment in Florida, thinking "I've just been kidnapped".

  7. I was 12  and a punk rocker.....

  9. Me too. First job as a barman, very popular with my mates!
I also had my first bike, z250a. I wanted an X7 but my old man talked me out of buying a 2 stroke. I made up for this later!

  10. I was going to do an engineering apprenticeship at Chatham Dockyard. Then the slag closed the dockyard and I got a 3mnth YTS instead. I learnt more in metalwork at school than at this, which was more of a yoof club for delinquents than a place to learn. Despite being the best YTS and keen, they could not keep me on. So, dole for me and 3-4million others. I left the kids home I was in at roughly the same time and swiftly fell into homelessness, unemployment and no future. Took me to burgle a school, shove some pencils in my pocket and wait for plod to arrive for the system to help me out. Thanks to sympathetic copper and judge. No damage to school (slid jalousie windows out to gain entry, but I had to kick the shit out of the alarm to set it off.) 1982 can fuck right off.

At least I had Lambretta's and was a lot cooler as fuck than you fizzy boy wankers. Yeah, I said it. Grebo nobs. :)

  12. Those were the days! My bird at the time worked in a super busy pub. I used to go in there with my mates with a fiver in my pocket and come out shit faced 20 quid up :D
No camera's, no fancy tills with software. Just booze for cash. I'd always pay for a round with a fiver and she'd give me change for a tenner. Marvelous!:beer::beer::beer:

  13. I remember the insurance was just over £400, I didn’t tell them about the turbo I don’t think
School mates had mopeds to go to school, my parents were the typical type: you can buy one when you can afford one - mate’s used to take the piss with me on my push bike, but the tables soon turned - I felt like Hell T on here yes, somewhat god like :innocent:
