Does anybody happen to know if the starter motor end-cover can be removed with the starter motor in situ on an '03 999? I'd like to have a go at cleaning up the commutator but I'd rather not disturb the engine case if I don't have to. I seem to remember reading that it's almost but not quite possible on the deep sump engine but may be possible on the earlier version.
