1098 Rear Sprocket Nut Torque

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by RickyX, Mar 12, 2016.

  1. Just doing the chain and sprockets on my R.

Looking in the workshop manual, it does not give any torque values for the sprocket Cush drive nuts or big retaining nut.
    Anybody know the values please?

    Thanks,
    R

  2. Big wheel nut is 230Nm. Iirc, Cush drives are 30Nm, but not 100% on the latter

  3. I looked in my 916 manual and the little nuts are 42Nm so used the same value. What do you reckon?

  4. Should be fine. Andy

  5. Yeah, should be fine as Andy said. They're M10 so 42 is in spec.

  6. 48 NM according to the document I have. I've attached the full list for you Ricky.

  7. Cheers all.
Didn't see it hiding in there with the rear wheel torque values. Just found it on my copy too.
Better do it again as I didn't put any thread lock on it. Doh!
