1098 Sf Smoked Some Biguns At Silverstone

Discussion in 'Streetfighter' started by SF Kiwi, Sep 28, 2019.

  1. So after being turned away on the 27th of August for a very loud Streetfighter ( 110Db ) I went home and consulted this very forum for advice. Pipwerx was the recommend people to chat to, so it was done, a new canon for the SF.

SO, one month to the day (Friday the 27th of September) I turned up at Silverstone again and sailed through onto the track.
I was in White group as I had never ridden on a track before, 2 sessions later and I was bumped up to Blue - Intermediate.
    What a difference

I managed more flow around the track as there were no groups of people slowing in front of corners and so on.

I started off conservatively ( yea right ) and then went hard out, even in the wet. The track is so sticky and the Bridgestone S22 Hyper tyres were amazing.

Obviously the photographers concentrate mostly on the white group as "we" are the ones that buy the pictures so there are none (only going down the strait) with a blue number on.

Had a blast and discovered that the SF could whip an R6 down the strait and around corners, the R1's, I couldn't stay with them down the strait but had them under braking into corners and around the S's.
I even managed to pass Neil Mackenzie, Tazz's Dad ( I'm having that )
