In need of a 1098r crankshaft anyone have one for sale or know of one please get in touch, €1500 for a new one ouch.. Bought a whole R motor for less than that last year
Good luck mate your gonna need it.Cant see that many 1098R engine spares going cheap but hey you got a bargain motor so maybe not that difficult after all. Might be worth trying someone like JHP for race team spares that should be cheaper than brand new.Or maybe a ducati breaker if someone has mullered there 1098R in a crash.
Are the 'R' cranks different stroke to the rest? If not then as Mr R says there are plenty of specialists that can modify/rebalance cranks and you would be surprised what can be repaired if its damaged. I recently had my 996 crank modded to take RS rods and it was a work of art for not a lot of cash
