Hi folks, I run a 1098R for trackday use only so needless to say it gets some welly. I've noticed oil migrating through the coelecer/filter thingy. Its a 3 inch by 1 inch cylindrical plastic filter thats mounted just forward of the side stand. I first noticed a sheen of oil down my side stand and I've traced it back. Its not in quantities that would reduce oil levels and I would describe the amount as 'residual'. Or next to fuck all. Do reckon this is normal under heavy use? A bit of oil atomisation draining back from the airbox? Think about flogging a kidney for engine repair work? Thrash the tits off it so as to provoke an easy diagnosis? Thanks for any feed back, Paul.
