  4. Unless you are @JoeC , probably 16-20k depending on history etc.

He sniffs out bargains like a hooker on a nerd who’s just won a million in the lottery

  6. When you get one, get the belts done by a dealer/technician you trust!

  7. I did a whole 400 miles on mine this year...clutch problems - dry one and then sprag.

  8. The 1098R fuel tank is a composite plastic that physicallly swells from the ethanol in petrol. The most obvious sign is the gap between the steering damper mounting bracket (which is bolted to the frame, not welded) and the tank. If it is bad, the bracket will have marked the paintwork and if the seller is savvy, they will have used a couple of washers behind the mounting bracket to space it off the frame. If the tank is swollen, there is no way back other than a replacement. Andy

  10. Go into Coventry Ducati to see John...
Nice people, so lucky they are local to me / also run a race team and always have lots of very exotic machines in the workshop / engine shop.

  12. I don't want to start throwing muck around (although I feel they deserve it!). For cars and bikes, I always think independent specialists are best (coming from someone working in the motortrade). Ducati John nr. Leeds always gets my vote and full recommendation. I think any of the dealers with race teams/associations would be a safe bet too.
