1098s Quick Release Carrier

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by GaryO, May 14, 2015.

  1. Can anyone confirm the torque settings needed to bolt a new sprocket to a quick release carrier on a 1098s ? Scared to death of stripping the threads . My google-fu skills seem to have deserted me

This is what I understand to be correct o_O

14-16 ft-lbs (or about 19-21.7 Nm) to bolt the quick change sprocket to the carrier :Nailbiting:.

And using the OEM torque setting for the stock full sprocket, 48 Nm to bolt the carrier to the hub.

    Cheers

  2. 18Nm / 13 Ft/lb on a Renthal :upyeah:

Just on the subject of carriers and sprockets, I bought a carrier from ducatimondo and a CNC racing sprocket from design corse and the fitment and alignment were a mile out , didn't realise that carriers and sprockets weren't a universal fit :Banghead:

  4. Yeah seen at least half a dozen different styles
