1198s/1098r/1198r Cam Shafts

Contemplating working on a pair of Multistrada 1200 heads and plan 'A' is fitting hotter cams. Ideally 1098R or 1198R cams would be the ideal but 1198S will do the job, if more lukewarm than hot WHY ? Andy
