If you've got a BSD Auto-Blipper fitted, the one that gives you clutchless up & down shifts then I thought you may want to know about a problem I've been experiencing with my 1199, just in case you are having the same symptoms. When the kit was originally fitted there were no problems and it all worked fine for a year or so. Wonderful piece of kit. In that time, I've only ridden a few euro trackdays though, so it's not like the kit has been extensively used/abused. Over time the bike began to rev quite high on start up from cold, 3-4k was not untypical but once warmed up it would settle down to tick over which has been set in the bike's ECU at 2k. I lived with this high revs anomaly but as time progressed, it began to become more intermittent and unpredictable and importantly, didn't disappear once warmed up. It culminated with the bike becoming unrideable at a recent trackday, when at the previous one it had been fine. After some fault finding the problem has been isolated to the BSD kit. That's now been removed and is on its way back to them to be re-flashed which I am assured will cure the problem. Which is excellent news as this is a great bit of kit when working fine and I'm glad I added it to the bike.
